MISSION STATEMENT-LIFE INTERNATIONAL CLINIC PROGRAM

The mission of the Life University International Clinic Program is to serve the global community by partnering with healthcare providers around the world in a relationship that allows student interns an exceptional clinical and cultural experience, and communicate the vitalistic chiropractic principles of Life University to the world.  The Life International Clinic Program is dedicated to providing health education and quality chiropractic care to international populations. 

GOALS AND OBJECTIVES

To provide and promote chiropractic/health care and education to the citizens of international communities

  • By providing quality chiropractic care to patients in international areas of the world.
  • By providing interns with opportunities to promote the benefits of chiropractic care through patient education procedures, health care lectures, community education events and chiropractic screenings.
  • By providing student interns with an opportunity to see a large volume of patients and mastering patient examination, diagnosis, case management, and adjusting skills.
  • Through close interaction between students and experienced faculty clinicians.
  • Through presentations and public relations releases about Life International Clinic experiences.

To provide a quality clinical experience for interns

  • By providing chiropractic care to patients presenting with a wide variety of clinical presentations.
  • By providing a clinic environment in which the student intern must apply advanced critical and clinical thinking skills.
  • By observing and interacting with health care providers in different health care professions.
  • Through learning about the health care practices of other countries through hospital/health facility rotations, health lectures and working in multi-disciplinary health care settings.
  • By observing and/or co-managing conditions not readily observed in the United States.

To provide a cultural experience for interns leading to the development of a culturally sensitive, mature, and knowledgeable professional.

  • By traveling to the assign country experiencing the culture of a diverse community.
  • By close interaction with international populace to gain an understanding and appreciation of   the social, cultural, and political experiences of others.
  • By lecture, presentations, and reading about the assigned international location.
