Life University Outreach Program

Life University’s clinic system offers a community service for undeserved populations, and valuable experience to our students through the Outreach Clinic Program.  One of our goals is to encourage an attitude of lasting purpose in clinical practice and in life.  The Outreach Clinics foster the attitude of giving by serving the patients in the community regardless of financial status.  The purpose of the program is to provide a source of chiropractic health care to the impoverished citizens under the direct supervision of skilled and licensed doctors of chiropractic.

The Outreach Program has been in operation since 2003.  Our facilities have provided gratis chiropractic care in community homeless shelters, drug and alcohol treatment facilities as well as to the Hispanic community.

Interns that participate in the program are exposed to hands-on interactive training which enhance clinical reasoning skills and broaden their patient care experience.  Our students come away from the program with a sense of fulfillment and pride at making a difference in the community.  This sense of fulfillment is something we hope they will carry with them after graduation and throughout their chiropractic careers.

Our vision for the future is the continued expansion of our clinics within the community and the promotion of a cooperative relationship with other service oriented community programs.  Our strong commitment to exceptional patient care and community service will support the spirit of altruism throughout our institution and instill pride in our students, faculty, and staff through their participation in a continued effort to improve the quality of life of the citizens in our community.
