When are tours given? Campus tours are scheduled every Monday and Friday when school is in session. How far in advance will I need to book my tour? We recommend that you schedule a month in advance in order to secure a spot and a spot for your guest. Scheduling in advance also allows prospective students to be aware of dates when the tour is not available such as during the weekend of National Boards or other special events which close down the campus. Be sure to check by calling 1-800-543-3202. How long does the tour take? The tour begins at 8:30am and concludes by 3:00 in the afternoon. The tour offers many opportunities beyond simply seeing the facilities. It is very important that you plan to stay for the entire day’s activities. What will I eat? You will start the day with a healthy continental breakfast, including coffee, tea and a variety of juices. Later, you will be served a full lunch while chatting with current students. We are able to accommodate most dietary requests. How should I dress? Our visitors dress in comfortable clothes that will allow them to walk comfortably. Tour participants will spend some time outside while touring the facilities in golf carts. While the average daily temperatures are typically quite mild, jackets and sweaters may be necessary when the mornings remain cool. Can I bring a guest with me on the tour? Many students choose to visit with their parents or a trusted friend. We’d love to include your guests in our day’s activities. Unfortunately, because of space limitations, we will need to limit your guests. Be sure to include your guests as you make your reservation and we can help you determine how much space there will be if you need to bring more than one guest. The day is not well suited to meet he needs of small children or extended families. Where should I stay? If you schedule your visit with the admissions department you will receive a complimentary night stay in an area hotel. When you sign up for the campus visit program, be sure to mention that you would like the complimentary hotel arrangement. You must attend the scheduled campus visit program in order to receive the complimentary accommodations. Please schedule your visit by calling 1-800-543-3202 or by filling out this online form. Should I bring my transcripts? Students who have applied or who are planning to apply often bring transcripts for evaluation while the student is touring. Please remember that unsealed transcripts will not be considered official but can still be evaluated unofficially by a member of the admissions team. An admissions advisor will consult with the prospective student and help them make decisions regarding remaining prerequisite coursework. |
