The Office of Academic Affairs is responsible for supporting the work of the faculty, whose teaching, advising and scholarship, in the context of LIFE’s Serving Lasting Purpose, brings the academic program to life. As Chief Academic Officer, the Vice President for Academic Affairs oversees the Life University curriculum and new curricular initiatives, faculty hiring and promotion, support for faculty research and teaching, and the administration of all academic departments and programs, the library and offices within the division of Academic Affairs. The Vice President for Academic Affairs is a core participant in the University’s budget development and strategic planning.
