Clinic System
Campus Center for Health and Optimum Performance
From the first time our students enter these clinic doors, we work with them to
create a healthcare team to support delivery of caring, quality healthcare to
people. After years of rigorous academic preparation, the chiropractic student
is ready to participate fully in the clinical education of the Campus Center.
Faculty Doctors of Chiropractic in this facility have literally decades of
experience taking care of patients and teaching clinical skill that prepares
students for their chosen profession. Students and faculty work together from a
vitalistic view of healthcare that respects the self-healing, self-maintaining
nature of life, and they begin to perfect that “team care” approach as they
provide chiropractic services to their fellow students at Life.
P.E.A.K* ProgramLife University’s
vision of influencing healthcare attitudes and practices isn’t
contained by the walls of our state-of-the-art clinic facilities.
Our commitment to the local, national, and even global community is
to produce caring doctors of chiropractic who are educated to share
the knowledge and joy of a balanced, healthy life with the help of
chiropractic.
Senior Interns at Life University have several options to complete
their clinical training. Each of these programs is designed to
seamlessly combine the years of rigorous academics and clinical
training.
In P.E.A.K., interns are connected with an experienced Doctor of
Chiropractic in a private office and work with him/her in all
aspects of the practice. The locations may be local, out-of-state,
or international. This gives students the opportunity to use their
skills in a real world setting and to see both how a business is run
and how chiropractic helps the general public. Life University now
has connections with doctors around the world for this opportunity.
We have students who learning in offices next door and also as far
away as snowy Sweden and exotic Ghana.
We are always hoping to expand the Life family of Extension Faculty
doctors who are interested in opening their offices to our talented
and enthusiastic interns. Doctors, who would like more information

P.E.A.K. - MilitaryA pioneering and
innovative version of the P.E.A.K. Program is the Military Clinic
Program. This offers students an opportunity to participate in
medical clinical rotations within military teaching hospitals
located in West Virginia and Virginia. Under the supervision of
expert chiropractors on staff at these hospitals, the intern
provides care in cooperation with medical departments and
specialties. This is an exciting opportunity for students to work
with a variety of healthcare disciplines to create the best possible
care for their patients.
Life University International Programs
We believe that access to comprehensive healthcare that considers
the mind, body and spirit is not something that should only be
available to people fortunate enough to be near a thriving
chiropractic center like Life University. The gift of chiropractic
should be accessible to the global community and our international
education programs are part of our dedication to this.
International Clinic Programs-China
Some of our senior-level students have the opportunity to take the
Life University motto of “To Give, To Love, To Serve”
internationally. One of the possibilities to complete their clinical
education outside of the United States is at Life’s clinic located
in Zigong, China in the western part of the country. This facility,
staffed by experienced Doctors of Chiropractic from Life University,
is providing some of the only chiropractic care available to China’s
1.3 billion people. In this innovative program, the chiropractic
center is part of a large, public hospital and the patients are
referred from other medical departments to access the unique skills
available from our highly-trained and compassionate Doctors and
students. The students who go to China have the satisfaction of
knowing that they are one of the few sources of chiropractic care
for people who really appreciate it, and also can rest assured that
their efforts there make a difference in people’s lives.
P.E.A.K.* - International*Practice,
Excellence, Art, and Knowledge
Another option for Life University students to “go global” in the
final quarters of their education is P.E.A.K. International. This
program is designed for senior chiropractic students who wish to
intern with an experienced doctor in an office located outside of
the United States. The students who participate in this program not
only are able to live the real-world applications of their
educations in private practice, they can also see the beneficial
effects of chiropractic care with a different culture. Currently, we
have connections with doctors in Ghana and Sweden with more
worldwide opportunities in the future. At Life University, we teach
our students to be global citizens with responsibilities that go far
beyond their hometown. We teach that it is chiropractic’s mission to
help the world be alive with people who live the best possible life
and this program is just one of the many ways we are moving to take
the joy and knowledge of a balanced life internationally.
