Life University's Department of Biology believes your future success is dependent upon the quality of the education you receive here. Your academic performance is important to our faculty. Our biology degree program consists of courses necessary for admission to graduate and professional schools such as chiropractic, osteopathic, medical, optometry and dentistry. The curriculum consists of courses in the Natural Sciences, which offer sound preparation for taking the MCAT, GRE and PCAT entrance exams.
We offer you flexible course scheduling.
We offer a versatile course schedule, including summer sessions, which allow you to complete your program of study in as little as three years. We also offer physics, chemistry and general biology in an accelerated format each quarter.
Biology Degree Requirements
Students acquiring the Bachelor of Science in biology degree will complete 65 credit hours in the General Curriculum as follows:

Additional Completion Requirements
- Completion of at least four years of prescribed study, of which the last year must be in residence at Life University, with at least 45 credit hours of biology courses being earned in the last year of residency.
- Satisfactory completion of all biology courses with a minimum grade of “C.”
- Satisfactory completion of all courses with a minimum overall cumulative GPA of 2.0.
- A recommendation for graduation and completion of an exit interview with the Natural Sciences faculty.
- Exit interviews with Financial Aid, Career Placement, and Accounting Counselors.
