Division of Sport Health Science

Division of Sport Health Science

The mission of the Division of Sport Health Science at Life University is to educate and prepare students for careers in fields related to nutrition and dietetics, athletic training, exercise science, health promotion and patient advocacy.

We seek to enable students to be successful in a variety of fields. Built on a vitalistic view, we are cognizant that optimal performance and proper nutrition can affect the entirety of our health, whether we are caring for an illness, rehabilitating a sport injury, maintaining a healthier lifestyle or maximizing our physical performance. The Division seeks to provide a depth of education as well as specialized skills and sense of creative independence that will allow students to practice in, and contribute to, a profession or field of scholarship.

The Division offers five bachelor’s degrees (Exercise Science, Health Coaching, Nutrition, Dietetics and Culinary Nutrition), three graduate degrees (Clinical Nutrition, Athletic Training and Sport Health Science), and a postbaccalaureate, non-degree Dietetics Internship program.

We welcome you to discover what Life University and the Division of Sport Health Science can offer as you continue to endure your academic and professional designations.
