A quarter is 10 weeks long with a one-week examination period. Students observe a one-week break between quarters in the fall and spring and a three-week break between quarters in the winter and summer. The quarters begin each year in the following months (exact dates vary): January, April, July and October.
The federal early deadline to apply for financial aid via the FAFSA form is January 15. However, if you apply after the early deadline, you will want to complete your FAFSA as quickly as possible and then work directly with the financial aid team to complete your paperwork for the term you have applied.
Academic Term Start Dates are generally 30 days following the application deadline. (Exact dates can be found in the online Academic Calendar here.)
