Cory Viehl is a graduate of North Georgia College & State University and is currently a student in the Counselor Education and Practice PhD program at Georgia State University in Atlanta Georgia. Cory is a licensed professional counselor in Georgia and has worked for 8 years as a counselor, supervisor, community educator, and is currently an adjunct faculty member at Life University and Argosy University. Additionally, he supervises counselors-in-training toward licensure and maintains a private practice. His research interests center around sexual and gender minorities, experiences of minority stress, and how these factors affect counselor burnout. Cory counsels and supervises through a lens of advocacy and leadership while also working within the community to provide services to disadvantaged and marginalized populations.
