BIO:

Prior to arriving at Life University in April, 2010, Dr. Caron was the head athletic trainer at Keene Sate College for 4 years, attended chiropractic college and then was in private practice for 12 years in New Hampshire and 10 years in Oregon. Her teaching experience includes diadactic and clinic courses in sportsmedicine. In addition to being licensed as a chiropractor and an athletic trainer in Georgia, she is certified as an athletic trainer through the National Athletic Trainers Association Board of Certification (BOC). Presently, Dr. Caron’s experience in sportsmedicine and chiropractic makes her a valuable asset in the Sport Health Science Department, teaching courses in physiologic therapeutics for the DC program and in the sports injury management Master’s program. She transferred to SHS after five years as a faculty clinician in the Functional Rehabilitation Department of C- HOP. Her personal interests include creative cooking, reading, and volunteering with Florida Shar Pei Rescue. Dr. Caron is also certified in animal adjusting (CVCP).

Dr. Caron’s professional philosophy: The role of the doctor is that of a mentor, providing information, skills and services to assist individuals in their quest for optimum health. The role of the educator is to provide students an opportunity to develop essential skills which will allow them to succeed in their chosen fields and in life. The difference between the two roles is where they are performed.
