Title IX Prevention Education

Title IX Prevention Education

Life University remains committed to fostering an environment where students, faculty, staff, and visitors are free from sex-based discrimination. In support of the university’s commitment, the Title IX Office is dedicated to educating campus community members about Title IX-related issues and relevant federal and state laws. Prevention education and programming are essential tools in preventing and responding to incidents of gender-based discrimination, sexual harassment, sexual violence, domestic/dating violence, stalking, and retaliation (collectively “sexual misconduct”). The Title IX Office offers a variety of educational opportunities designed to facilitate critical conversations and raise awareness of sexual misconduct.
The Title IX Office offers ongoing education and programming on a variety of different topics, including sexual assault prevention, bystander intervention, healthy/unhealthy relationships, effective consent, and other relevant issues. Title IX Training Modules

The Title IX Office recognizes the importance of preventing sexual misconduct and offers a variety of educational programming, including primary prevention and awareness training for new students and employees. Awareness and education are essential in building and maintaining a safe campus community, so the university requires training for incoming students and employees.

Employee Training

All Life University employees are required to complete the Title IX Employee Training within the first 90 days of employment and annually. This training is crucial for understanding your Title IX responsibilities, recognizing the signs of sexual misconduct, and learning how to support students and colleagues. The training is available by logging in to Paycom and clicking the “Learning” tab.

Student Training

All new/incoming Life University students are required to complete an online training module. This includes undergraduate students, graduate students, online and distance students, students who began a new program, international students, and transfer students.
