Graduate Requirements

Thank you for your interest in Life University’s Graduate Programs! We are ready and excited to assist you with the next steps to becoming a Running Eagle! 

The Enrollment Team at Life University must receive your application and supporting documents to begin the evaluation process! 

  • Non-refundable $50 Application Fee 
  • Final Official College Transcripts from all institutions attended (3.0 GPA Minimum) 
  • Official GRE Test Scores (Required for Sports Health Science & Athletic Training) The GRE code for Life University is 5358 
  • Letter of Intent 
  • Curriculum Vita (Resume)  
  • Three References with contact information 
  • Read, complete and return the Graduate Program Technical Standards: 

Master’s in Athletic Training 
Master’s in Clinical Nutrition 
Master’s in Positive Psychology 
Master’s in Sport and Health Science 

MASTER OF SCIENCE IN SPORT HEALTH SCIENCE

All students must have taken at least one college level course with a grade of “C” or better in each of the following disciplines to be admitted into the program: 

  • Anatomy and Physiology (may be a combined course) 
  • Chemistry OR Exercise Physiology 
  • Physics OR Kinesiology OR Biomechanics 

MASTER OF SCIENCE IN POSITIVE PSYCHOLOGY

No additional prerequisites courses are required for the Master of Science in Positive Psychology.

MASTER OF SCIENCE IN CLINICAL NUTRITION

All students must have taken at least one college level course with a grade of “B” or better in each of the following disciplines to be admitted into the program: 

  • Anatomy and Physiology (may be a combined course) 
  • Organic Chemistry and Biochemistry  
  • Microbiology  

MASTER OF ATHLETIC TRAINING (MAT)

All students must have taken at least one college level course with a grade of “C” or better in each of the following disciplines to be admitted into the program: 

  • Anatomy and Physiology (may be a combined course) 
  • Chemistry 
  • Physics 

 For student applying for the Master of Athletic Training (MAT) program, a minimum of 75 observation hours supervised by a healthcare professional (ideally a BOC Certified Athletic Trainer).  This is documented on a form provided to the applicant and signed by the supervisor(s). These hours can be completed at multiple facilities and/or supervisors. Please use the Clinical Observation form to record these hours.
