Life U CARES About You!Welcome to Life University’s CARES initiative. At Life University, we are a supportive small community that wants to make sure our students have the resources they need to help them through their academic and extracurricular journey at Life U.Please look for CAREs programming that help support our community:
- Resources: CAREs can help you get connected to resources on and off campus. Just email CARE@life.edu
- Student of Concern: Do you know a student of concern? Please submit a report HERE.
- MUST Ministries Mobile Food Pantry: Approximately once a month, fresh food and produce are available to support our students and community. All are welcome. First-time users can register HERE.
- Food and Clothing Pantry: Located in the Drs. Sid E. & Nell K. Williams Library, our pantry offers free lightly worn clothing as well as non-perishable, refrigerated and frozen food items to members of the Life U community in need.
- Pocket Pantry: Located in the Life University Fitness Center, the Pocket Pantry has pick up snacks and limited dry goods.
- Food and Clothing Donations: Help support our food and clothing pantries by donating. Please bring food donations to the Library front desk and the clothing donations to the Learning Resource Center building at the Student Affairs Desk.
- Life U CARE Connects: Helps you find your way on the first day of the quarter at 7am. Look for CARE volunteers who are ready to help you with any questions and show you where your classroom is located or reach out to CARE@life.edu
- American Red Cross Blood Drive: Help fill the need, donate blood. For an appointment, please visit RedCrossBlood.org using sponsor code Life.

SBAT
Student Behavioral Assessment Team
The purpose of the Student Behavioral Assessment Team (SBAT) is to proactively support students of concern and help provide resources with a goal of promoting positive student experiences within a thriving educational environment.
The SBAT Committee includes membership from across several campus constituent groups and is overseen by the Dean of Students.
Members Include:
- Dean of Students
- CARE Case Manager (Committee Chair)
- Director of Conflict Resolution and Accountability
- Director of Counseling Services and Student Belonging
- Campus Safety/Police Representative or Designee
- Academic Program Representatives or Designee
- Housing Representative
CARE CONNECT
Community Emergency Fund:
Provides short-term financial assistance to students facing unexpected emergencies that threaten their ability to work or study. The Fund is intended to address urgent financial needs that cannot be resolved through existing resources or financial aid. All students must first meet with CAREs for exhaustion of available resources before applying for the Community Emergency Fund. www.life.edu/campus-life-pages/community-emergency-fund
CARE Book Share:
Take a Book/CD/DVD of your choice and return it when you are done. Donate a gently used Book/ CD/DVD for another student (items should be in good condition, in their original cover and of appropriate content). Located in the LRC building at the Student Affairs Desk.
LifeLINK Mentoring:
A new mentoring program promoting meaningful peer-to-peer connections rooted in Life U’s core values: Lasting Purpose, integrity, service, connection, and community. (This program is currently assigned to specific cohorts of students)
