About Food4LIFE
The mission of Life University’s Food4LIFE (F4L) Pantry is to provide a discreet emergency or short-term resource for Life University (Life U) students, faculty, and staff who are experiencing food insecurity.
Life U community members are allowed to utilize the F4L Pantry as needed. A key to the pantry may be checked out discreetly from AV in the Library. Community members using the pantry are asked to limit the amount of food that they take per visit to 4 reusable grocery bags that will be provided by the pantry that must be either returned after a community member’s final visit to the food pantry or brought back for reuse upon each subsequent visit to the pantry. The number of bags of food taken is recorded along with the community member’s name and ID number. Information is kept in a secure location and is used for inventory and planning purposes.Snacks, drinks, and small meals are available for daily or occasional use; the expectation is for patrons to use these materials only as needed so that the F4L pantry can serve as many community members as possible.
Those with needs that exceed this limit should email food4life@life.edu so that they can be directed to other campus and community resources that may be able to provide support.
Life U CAREs present MUST Ministries Mobile Food Pantry monthly at the RCCE Atrium. First-time users can register at https://www.tfaforms.com/4978350. For more details, please email care@life.edu. This event will feature fresh food and produce available to support our students and community. All are welcome.
Food is distributed on a first-come, first-served basis while supplies last. All supplies are based upon donations, so the pantry inventory may vary from month to month. To suggest items for the F4L Pantry, please email food4life@life.edu.
Gift cards to area grocery stores are sometimes available to Life U community members (based on donations). This resource is intended to be used in emergency situations to provide supplementary nutrition not available in the pantry. Life U community members are allowed to receive no more than $40 in gift cards per quarter (dependent upon availability).
Those with needs when gift cards are not available or needs that exceed this limit should email care@life.edu so that they can be directed to other campus and community resources that may be able to provide support.
The F4L Food Pantry accepts donations from organizations and individuals.
