Karien Henderson serves as the University Advisement Center’s Administrative Assistant. She is the heartbeat of the Advisement Center. Karien has been employed with Life University since the Summer of 2016. She enjoys spending time with her family and decorating for the holiday season.

Maya Grant serves as the Project Coordinator for the University Advisement Center. Within the Advisement department, Maya assists with operational management as well as project planning. She recently graduated from Kennesaw State University with a Bachelor of Science in Media and Entertainment with a minor in Legal Studies. Maya is a huge Philadelphia Eagles football fan and she enjoys traveling with family and friends.

I have more than 14 years of experience in Higher Education, where I have worked un Admissions, Academic Support (including Academic Advising), Retention as well as teaching Sociology. I earned my BS, (Science, Technology and Culture) from Georgia Tech, my MA (Sociology) at the University of West Georgia, and my EdD (Higher Education Administration) at the University of Alabama. Outside of Life University, she spends her time coaching cheerleading, singing and spending time with my husband and two children.

Tameka has been an employee at Life University since 2005.  She has a Bachelors in Business Administration and a Masters in Adult Education and Training. Tameka has followed LIFE’s path as Admissions Advisor, Loan Administrator, Assistant Manager of Student Accounts, Director of Student Advocacy Center, and finally Director of University Advisement. She received the role as Director of University Advisement July 2017. Tameka’s favorite show is “This is Us”.
