Applying to a university in another country involves a few additional steps, but you do not have to navigate the process alone. Life University’s International Admissions team can help you understand admission requirements, prepare your academic records and complete the documents required for enrollment.

The Application Process
Your Path to Life University
The international admission process includes a few additional steps, from selecting your program to preparing your immigration documents after acceptance. Open each section below to review what you will need at every stage.
Life University offers undergraduate, graduate and Doctor of Chiropractic programs designed to prepare students for meaningful careers and continued academic growth.
Before submitting your application, explore your intended program and review its specific admission requirements, prerequisites and available start quarters. Some requirements vary by academic level, so be sure you are reviewing information for the correct program.
Complete the online application for your intended program and start quarter. Make sure the name, date of birth and other personal information on your application match your official identification documents.
Submit the required application fee and monitor the email address listed on your application. The Admissions team may contact you if additional information or documentation is needed.
SAT and ACT Scores
Submitting SAT or ACT scores is optional. If you have taken either exam and would like your scores considered, request that your official scores be sent to Life University.

You may submit scores through your ACT or College Board account.
ACCUPLACER
International students are required to complete the ACCUPLACER either before arriving at Life University or after arriving on campus.

Submit official transcripts from the high schools, colleges or universities you previously attended.
Transcripts from international high schools, colleges and universities must be accompanied by the appropriate official foreign credential evaluation unless an approved exemption applies.
Credential Evaluations
Life University accepts credential evaluations from members of the National Association of Credential Evaluation Services (NACES).
Request the appropriate evaluation for your academic background and have the official evaluation report submitted with your academic records.
Canadian Students
Some Canadian colleges and universities are exempt from the credential evaluation requirement.

International Student-Athletes
Prospective international student-athletes must have their transcripts evaluated through InCred and may have additional academic eligibility requirements.
Review the International Student-Athlete Checklist and stay in contact with International Admissions and your prospective coaching staff throughout the process.
International applicants may be required to demonstrate English language proficiency before enrolling at Life University.

English Proficiency Exemptions
Some international applicants may be exempt from the English Language Proficiency requirement.
International transfer students may qualify for an exemption if they have:
- Completed 24 or more credit hours at a U.S. college or university; and/or
- Passed English Composition I and English Composition II, or equivalent courses; or
- Earned a four-year degree from a U.S. institution
Additional exemptions may apply based on previous education. Review the full English Language Proficiency Exemption List in the Resources section above to determine whether you may qualify.
- Download, complete and submit the I-20 Request Form.
- A PDF copy of your most recent passport
- Financial documents: U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) requires international students to show the University evidence of adequate financial resources to provide for at least one year of full-time education, travel and living expenses.
- Bank letter or bank statement: The bank statement or bank letter cannot be older than six months before the student’s start date.
- Scholarship: If you are a recipient of any scholarship that covers first-year expenses (fully or partially), the award letter must state the source of the scholarship and the award amount in U.S. dollars.
- Sponsor letter and Form: A sponsor affidavit is required along with all financial documents.
- SEVIS Fee: Once you receive your I-20, please visit fmjfee.com to pay $350 fee before applying for your visa interview.
International student-athletes
Compete at Life University
International student-athletes must complete both the University admission process and the eligibility requirements associated with collegiate athletics.
You may need to submit additional academic records, credential evaluations and eligibility documents. Stay in contact with International Admissions and your prospective coach throughout the process.
