BIO:

Vivek Penumetcha is an associate professor in the Department of Natural Sciences, presently teaching college algebra and introductory physics courses. He is the author of a number of research papers, conference presentations and invited talks in the area of High Energy Nuclear Physics.

He was involved in Nuclear Physics research in collaboration with Georgia State University until 2005. As part of this research, he participated in PHNNIX Experiment at Relativistic Heavy Ion Collider (RHIC) at Brookhaven National Laboratory to study properties of Quark Gluon Plasma and performed a number of experiments at Hollifield Heavy Ion Research Facility (HHIRF) at Oak Ridge National Laboratory to study the reaction mechanisms of Heavy-Ion interactions at intermediate energies, with particular emphasis on Deep Inelastic Collisions.
