LIFE Leadership Weekend Q & A.
How will I get from the airport to the hotel? How will I get from the hotel to Life University?
LIFE offers free airport shuttles to the hotel on Thursday and Sunday of LLW. Thursday airport shuttles run bi-hourly and between 10 a.m. and 10 p.m. On Sunday, airport shuttles leave the main hotel at 5:00 a.m., 6:00 a.m., 7:00 a.m., 8:00 a.m., 9:00 a.m., 10:00 a.m., 11:00 a.m. and Noon. We do not provide alternate transportation. If these scheduled shuttle times do not fit your needs you will be responsible for booking and paying for your own form of transportation. (The Events team will provide a link for you to personally book your airport/shuttle transportation. There is a chance that shuttles will fill up – therefore making it imperative for you to communicate your flight information).
Is there an age limit in order to attend LLW?
We welcome participants who are 17 and older. However, it is important to note that all participants under the age of 18 must be escorted to LIFE Leadership Weekend by a parent or legal guardian.
Can I come to more than one LLW?
If you are a returning LLW attendee, LIFE asks that you cover the following expenses:
•Your hotel stay (one, two or three nights – the duration of your stay is at your discretion)
•$200 registration fee (which can be paid at registration). This fee covers food, transportation and weekend materials.
Can I bring a guest? How many guests can I bring? What is covered for guests?
We strongly recommend bringing a guest. Bring your significant other or a parent. Our guests love this weekend. Guests are welcome to attend all sessions. Life University will cover the cost of one guest, but we ask that each additional guest pay $150 per person. This fee offsets food and transportation costs for the weekend. We collect your additional guest fee(s) during registration, payable by cash, check or credit card. LIFE does not pay for additional hotel rooms for guests of LIFE Leadership Weekend participants.
Are children welcome at LLW?
We do not recommend bringing children to the weekend because of the day-long events and activities not designed for children. This event requires full participation at all times.
Where will I stay? What lodging expenses will LIFE cover?
Life University pays for two nights’ hotel stay for LLW participants. LIFE has rooms available to reserve at a hotel near campus. If you need a hotel for the weekend, be sure to indicate that on the online registration form. In a few weeks prior to the event you will receive instructions about how to make your hotel reservations online. When you make your reservation online, you will be asked to hold the room using a credit card. Reserve your room under the name of the weekend registrant (not necessarily the credit card holder’s name). Your credit card will not be charged and upon check-in to the hotel, LIFE will pay for your stay.
Upon check-in, guests will need to provide a credit card for incidentals. Your credit card will not be charged for your reserved room nights.
What if I want to stay at the hotel longer than just the event?
If you need to stay longer, you can reserve your hotel room from the Wednesday before LLW until the Wednesday after the weekend and receive the special Life University rate. You willl have to cover additional hotel nights on your own. To reserve extra nights be sure to contact the hotel directly.
What if a friend and I are both interested in the Chiropractic program and both want to come the same weekend?
LIFE provides two nights’ hotel stay for all guests. If you are a prospective student and you have a friend who is a prospective student coming to the weekend, LIFE will pay for three nights of your hotel stay if you share a room. Contact LIFE’s Events Team with the name of the prospective student with whom you would like to share a room and the name under which the reservation has been made, and LIFE will let the hotel know that we will take care of all three nights.
What meals will be provided?
Life University provides lunch and dinner at campus on Friday and Saturday. The host hotel provides breakfast for LLW guests (paid for by Life University) on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. We will ask you during the registration process if you have any dietary restrictions. We do our best to accommodate most dietary needs. However, based on your restrictions you may need to plan accordingly.
Will I be able to visit a classroom?
Due to the size of our LIFE Leadership Weekends, we are unable to include a classroom visit on our tour of campus.
I was referred by a LIFEforce 1000 Doctor. Do I need to do anything special?
Make sure you input the LIFEforce 1000 Doctor’s name in the referral section of registration. If you forgot to input your LIFEforce 1000 Doctor’s name during registration, please email us with your doctor’s name. We are more than happy to validate if the Doctor is an active LIFEforce 1000 member. We can give further information about benefits if you were referred by a LIFEforce 1000 doctor.
What if I live locally and do not plan to stay at the hotel? How will I park?
We strongly encourage all local Georgia residents to stay at our host hotel and take our scheduled shuttle to the University. If you choose not to book a room at the hotel, it is important you confirm your accommodations with the Events office. Without this confirmation, your LLW registration may result in forced cancellation. Parking on campus is limited, but a parking pass can be provided if requested.
How is the Campus Tour conducted?
A campus facilities tour is included in the weekend schedule. This tour is a walking tour of our campus: if you or a guest is unable to physically participate in the campus tour, you may participate in our virtual tour.
What is the Atlanta Bus tour? How do I sign up?
On Saturday we will offer the opportunity to visit downtown Atlanta. You will receive an email prior to the event to book your seat on the Atlanta bus tour. You MUST sign up in advance for the excursion and any attractions you visit, you are responsible for payment. If you miss the bus returning to campus from the excursion, you are responsible for your own transportation back to Life University.
