Course Description:

This 12 hour interactive course is part of robust curriculum designed for practitioners seeking to fine tune their pregnancy and pediatric chiropractic analysis and technique skills. In this 12 hour skills based module, attendees will be given 8 hours of an updated perspective on the upper cervical complex with updated information on radiology, thermography, palpation, and significant emphasis will be placed on technique drills and adjustment delivery. 4 hours will focus on infant examination with relevance placed on chiropractic practice.

Mastering Chiropractic Cranial (Part 1)

Course Description:

This course will introduce Chiropractic Craniopathy and provide skill building activities to develop the application. A pediatric cranial exam will be included and incorporated into the special population of children with tethered oral tissue. It will cover evaluation for tethered oral tissues and the associated myofascial adaptations along with management considerations with methods to address the cranium, spinal and fascial distortion patterns. In addition, this course includes cranial methods appropriate for the pregnant population.

Breastfeeding and the Chiropractic Component

Course Description:

This program will give chiropractors better understanding of how chiropractic care may have a significant role in the success of the breastfeeding dyad. Chiropractors should have a working knowledge of basic lactation so when they take a history they can identify potential
red flags that could lead to breastfeeding difficulties. Collaborative care is essential in difficult breastfeeding situations and chiropractic care should be an essential part of a breastfeeding mothers support team. After this course the chiropractor will be able to identify and discuss their roll in aiding other providers obtain optimal breastfeeding goals. Learning Objectives:

  • Have a basic understanding of normal breastfeeding: prenatal, delivery, and postnatally
  • Be able to identify breastfeeding positions that are compensatory to birth subluxations or anatomical variants that could be interfering with breastfeeding.
  • Be able to effectively communicate to patients when further evaluation is needed and how to work collaboratively with other providers.
