Dr. Ravikumar taught in the undergraduate and graduate pharmacy programs at Northeast Louisiana, Monroe and Xavier University, in New Orleans before joining the faculty at Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa in 1992. He served as the Dean of Basic Sciences at Sherman College of Straight Chiropractic for a short period between 2001 and 2002 before joining Palmer College of Chiropractic Florida as a Pioneer Faculty member. He has been on the faculty at Life University College of Chiropractic since January 2008.

He teaches Visceral Physiology in the Basic Sciences Division and Toxicology in the Clinical Sciences Division at Life University.

I graduated from Life university in 1989 and maintained a private in Philadelphia and then Atlanta. A few years after returning to Atlanta I returned to Life University as a faculty member in the outpatient clinic and have been here for over 25 years.

I obtained certifications in Motion palpation Network Spinal analysis and received a Diplomate in Chiropractic Neurology in 2007.

To continue my position as a clinic faculty doctor in the Student Clinic (CCHOP) teaching basic clinical to Life University students. In the eleven years I have been preparing interns I have realized the importance of their first clinical experience not only for the main clinic but for their careers in Chiropractic. The invaluable experience I can bring into their lives, giving them an understanding of their contribution to our profession in diagnosing , patient care, skill development, documentation and the powerful need for research . Everyday I am able to enhance the growth and advancement of Life University by working with these interns. I have found this to be very fulfilling personally as well as advancing the profession of Chiropractic! 

I had a banking career prior to Chiropractic. Upon graduation from Palmer College I opened a Chiropractic office in Western Kentucky. I purchased commercial real estate, built a successful practice and understand the operational and practical aspects of running a health care business, After the sale of my practice, I moved back home, to Florida where I joined a group. After a couple of years, I decided to experience Personal Injury work and joined PGLLC, a firm in Jacksonville, Fl. where I worked until joining Life University in 2010. 

While at Life University I participated in Health Fair Screenings. I was a Full-spine Advisor for six years. Have been an active OSCE committee member for nine years and still continue to develop and implement testing. I am on the Peer Review Committee, assessing files for quality. I am on the Conduct Review Board, as well as The Clinical Council Committee. I have not only been active in my church but also President of my HOA for 3 years. I am an Active Trustee of a charitable Trust which contributes to a number of Humanitarian efforts. I have been selected as Graduate Class Clinical Doctor Most Influential three times. Every year I average 25-30 hours of continuing education hours. I maintain my Ga. and Fl. license, and I am a current member of the Hiring Committee. I attended Standard Process Nutritional Training in 2015 and continue to work toward my diplomate (DABCI) While at Life I have also taught Full Spine technique classes with Dr. Mullins and Dr. Vanderslice.

I am proficient in Gonstead, Diversified, Activator and Lumbar Distraction Technique. I have extensive education training in CCSP, Radiology, Charrette Extremity Technique. Business skills, Computer skills, Depositions, Collections, Lending and Legal experience in Banking Procedures. I have graduated from Dale Carnegie Training, and understand the psychology necessary in the work place. I’ve taken coursework in Fundamental Laboratory Analysis.

In addition to teaching at Life University’s outpatient clinic, and in classroom labs, Dr. Van Strien maintains a private practice focusing on perinatal, pediatrics, and family wellness, which she started in 2020. She is a member of the ICPA, Webster certified, and has completed full body certifications in ART (Active Release Technique). Prior to working on campus, she gained experience working closely with the Atlanta Birth Center. Throughout her career, she has worked with athletes of various ages, personal injury clinics, as well as with other family wellness practices. She grew up in Southwest Michigan, but has lived in Georgia since 2012. Outside of chiropractic, she enjoys working out, DIY projects, hiking, kayaking, camping, soccer, enjoying the outdoors, and spending time with her family and pets.

Dr. Dowlen teaches various radiology courses in the Clinical Sciences Division. She has held the Diplomate status with the American Chiropractic Board of Radiology since 2021. She completed diagnostic imaging residency at the University of Western States, Portland, Oregon. During Dr. Dowlen’s residency, she taught various radiology courses and provided diagnostic imaging consultation services within the University’s clinic. Ultimately, she knew upon completion of her residency that she wanted to continue pursuing a career in education and returned to Life University in 2021 to teach alongside her mentors that had played a profound impact on her radiology education as a DC student. Aside from teaching, she currently operates a private diagnostic imaging consulting practice serving clinicians in Georgia and other states.

Adam Janiak, MS, teaches in the Transitional Studies department of the College of Graduate and Undergraduate Studies (CGUS) and brings more than 23 years of teaching experience with him into the classroom. After teaching in high schools for a little over a decade, Mr. Janiak made the transition to Life University where he developed a passion for helping students develop those reading and writing skills integral to college success. While working at Life University, Mr. Janiak completed his master’s degree in Positive Psychology, which has had an incredible impact on not only his outlook, but also the method and purpose behind how and what he teaches.

Dr. Pichette is an accomplished professional with multiple degrees and certification including Bachelor of Science,Master's degree in Positive Psychology, Doctor of Chiropractic, Diplomate in Functional Neurology, Fellowship in Childhood Neuro Developmental Disorders and PX Docs Certified.

She is also certified in multiple chiropractic techniques including Webster, Knee-Chest Upper Cervical, Atlas Orthogonal, Torque Release Technique, Activator. Dr. Pichette is an avid learner and constantly takes post-graduate seminars in functional neurology and pediatrics. She teaches a variety of classes in both the Chiropractic Sciences and Clinical Sciences departments, including techniques and CLET.

Dr. Pichette is an experienced chiropractor, teacher and mentor having worked with thousands of patients and families over 32 years. She owns her chiropractic practice where she focuses on pediatric and family care. She has a focus on neuro-developmental disorders. She has a passion to help as many families live a healthy life and to pass along her knowledge to students. She dedicates her time to teaching at Life University, in the community doing workshops, and has participated in multiple chiropractic mission trips to spread the word of chiropractic.
