A lifelong advocate of learning, Marisa May holds a doctorate in Educational Leadership from LIberty University and a masters in mathematics from Sam Houston State University. She has participated in teaching at various locations, to include brick and mortar public high schools and colleges in addition to virtual classrooms in secondary and post-secondary education. While classroom teaching is her first love, she has ventured into other aspects of that calling such as curriculum writing, mentoring teachers and training.

Marisa and her husband, a fellow teacher, reside in northwest Houston with their five children. Her family enjoys physical activities such as volleyball, basketball, and baseball.
