In July 2008, we created an experiential learning activity for students coming through orientation as new students to the University. During orientation, we focus on providing our students with tools and insight to empower transformational learning. We are creating transitional experiences during critical transition points in students’ academic progress. The second experience will be at the mid-point in your educational experience; the third will be at graduation.
We have four primary outcomes for the day:
- To have new students feel welcome and a part of the LIFE community
- To create bonds between the new students and the faculty, administration and staff
- To feel a sense of support from the LIFE community
- Feel the unique qualities that differentiate LIFE
